Luna Online is an anime third person MMORPG in which your avatar walks around numerous lands, citys and wilderness', fighting monsters, gaining experience and leveling up. It has a very in-depth gameplay, with skill upgrades and construction/destruction of objects, and it also has a very immersive character creation process.

Making a Character

When you first open the game and sign in, you start the character creation process, which spans the entire game as you play. The first things you must decide on are: Name Race (Human or Elf) Basic Type (Warrior, Mage or Rogue)

Each decision you make (except name!!) affects your gameplay throughout the game. For example, a Warrior type uses swords, shields and battle-axes, while a Mage type uses spells and buffs to overcome their opponents.

When you get enough experience from completing quests and killing monsters, you will level up. When you level up, you gain SP (Skill Points) which, along with money, can be spent on attack, buff or passive skills. Attack skills do exactly that, buff skills increase strength/intelligence/etc and passive skills are constantly active without needing to be activated, like armour or weapon training.

You also get attribute points, which are used to upgrade attributes like strength, intelligence, wisdom, dexterity, etc. These attributes affect damage done, damage taken, critical chance, evasiveness, mana limit, mana recharge and magical damage.

Once you hit level 20 you get your first specific class type. These also happen at levels 40, 75, 105 and 145. These specific classes give you more skills to upgrade, different stats and different gameplay styles. For example, once your Mage type character hits level 20 he can become a cleric, a healing class, or a wizard, an attacking class.
